The Sorenson Center offers a variety of in-person clinical services to residents of the Cache Valley community as well as via telehealth throughout the state of Utah. Our services are provided by licensed clinicians and graduate students in training who work under the supervision of licensed clinicians. We offer evidence-based services grounded in research and collaborate with clients to best address presenting concerns. Our staff specialize in specific areas allowing us to provide a wide range of services delivered or overseen by experts in their fields.

For services provided by students or trainees under supervision of licensed professionals, fees are set on a sliding scale according to the client’s income and family size. For services provided by licensed clinicians, many insurances are accepted across our service lines. Please contact the specific service line for more information.

Mental Health

Psychology and Counseling

Psychology and Counseling provides therapy and assessment services to clients across the lifespan. Some specialties include LD/ADHD assessments, ACT and DBT for teens and adults with depression or anxiety (including OCD), and support for gender and sexual minority clients.

Marriage and Family Therapy

Marriage and Family Therapy services have a large focus on relationship work. This can include work with couples on relationship distress, conflict, and communication. MFT therapists also provide therapy services to individuals across the life span.

Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling

Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling provides counseling services for persons experiencing Chronic Illness, Disability, and Developmental Disability (including Autism). The emphasis of services is to promote clients’ adjustment and adaptation to disability.

ACT Guide

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Guide is an online self-help program designed to foster emotional wellbeing and help individuals cope with mental health issues including depression and anxiety. Specialized ACT Guide programs focus on hairpulling, decluttering, and adolescents.

Speech and Hearing

Cochlear Implants

Cochlear Implant Clinic provides testing to determine if a cochlear implant is a good option for individuals with hearing loss. Follow-up mapping services are also available.

Hearing and Balance

Hearing and Balance Clinic serves individuals with hearing and balance needs of all ages. The clinic provides hearing tests as well as hearing aid fitting, programming, and repairs. Balance and tinnitus treatment and evaluations are also available.

Pediatric Audiology

Pediatric Audiology Clinic provides early identification and intervention services for newborns and individuals up to age 21 who have hearing loss.

Speech and Language Clinic

Speech and Language Clinic offers speech and language services across the lifespan. Services can address articulation, language, voice, aphasia, cognitive communication, and stuttering. Therapeutic services also include evaluation for adult swallowing and pediatric feeding disorders.

Developmental Assessment and Treatment

Behavior Support Services

Behavior Support Services provides evaluation and outpatient services to reduce challenging behavior and acquire appropriate behavior and skills. Services primarily focus on youth and young adults who have Autism or other Developmental Disabilities and who exhibit extreme or severe problem behaviors. Procedures are grounded in the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).

Dietitian / Nutrition Services 

Dietitian / Nutrition Services include individual nutrition therapy services for children, teens, and adults, and can address a variety of concerns including picky eating, unhealthy eating, eating disorders, and other nutrition related concerns.

Integrated Assessment (Autism, ADHD, etc. Evaluations)

Integrated Assessment provides an interdisciplinary approach to psychological evaluations for individuals. The team specializes in evaluating Autism. It also provides evaluations for ADHD, learning disorders, and behavioral disorders.

Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing

Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing supports families and caregivers of children with disabilities by providing evaluation, recommendations, education, service navigation, and support for the development of feeding skills.

Aggies Elevated

Aggies Elevated is a two-year residential college-campus program for college students who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The program’s goal for graduates is competitive integrated employment, full community inclusion, and independent living to their highest ability.

ASSERT Autism Program

ASSERT is an intensive preschool program that uses research based instructional techniques to address the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Preschool age children attend the program 20 hours per week.

Housing and Financial Counseling

Housing and Financial Counseling provides education specific to housing and finance. The service offers educational workshops and individualized counseling.

Up to 3 / ABC Classroom

Up to 3 is an early intervention program that promotes the development of children under age three who have a disability or developmental delay. Services are primarily provided in the family’s home.
