hearing test with child

Pediatric Audiology

The pediatric audiology clinic offers hearing services for newborns and individuals up to age 21. Approximately 2-3 out of every 1000 children have hearing loss when they are born, and more than double this number will develop hearing loss by the time they enter school. Our clinic provides early identification and intervention services for hearing loss, both of which are important for language development and academic success.

The Pediatric Audiology Clinic works collaboratively with Sound Beginnings, an onsite early education program for children ages birth to six years who are deaf or hard of hearing. In addition to the Pediatric Audiology services, specialized services are provided in the Hearing and Balance division and Cochlear Implant division. All USU audiology clinics are staffed by expert licensed and certified audiologists who train university graduate students.
